fangirling about all things that go bump in the night
Thank you for stopping by here. So you want to know who runs this show? We are three bookish friends who met through the interwebs and fangirled together over book boyfriends and our love for blogging about books for years.
Francesca and Suzanne are part of Under the Covers Book Blog and Stephanie runs Ideally Inspired Reviews. We’ve all been around the book blogging community for many years, and while Under the Covers does venture into other types of content (like talking about books on Booktube), none of us ever took the plunge into podcasting. I should probably mention that we have been asked to do a podcast for quite some time and it never seemed like the right time, or the right idea. Until this little seed started to grow.
About the Fangover Podcast
When we decided to do a podcast talking about all our favorite bookish things, mainly all things paranormal and fantasy related, we immediately thought of a series that we could focus on for season 1. That was the Night Huntress series. We all love these books, they’ve given us some of our favorite book boyfriends over the years, and it seemed like a great time to re-read them both for our enjoyment and to share our love for this series with everyone.
Then came the task of thinking of a good name for this. Obviously we run two separate book blogs and we wanted this name to be its own thing. After trying to think of ideas for days (weeks?) the answer came to Francesca in a dream. No, don’t laugh, I’m serious!
Our name pays homage to a paranormal romantic comedy I read many, many moons ago. It’s a PNR retelling of the movie The Hangover. If that gives you an idea of what you can expect, yes, lots of craziness and fun.

The Book…
When rock-god vampire Johnny Malone commits suicide, the rest of The Impalers gather for an Irish wake and jam session to send their bandmate off in style. But alcohol-laced blood and grief make for one hell of a combination…
When her brother, Johnny, dies, Stella Malone’s grief lands her in the buff arms of The Impalers’ bass player. While her tryst with Wyatt had some serious bite, Stella isn’t looking for a relationship, especially after a tipsy argument leads to her getting stuck in bat form at the wake. The rest of the hungover Impalers are in no shape to help her, meaning that Stella’s one night stand is the only one who can help her figure out what really happened last night. Only Wyatt doesn’t have a clue what happened last night, either, nor does he know that Stella is the bat currently dive-bombing his head. But he does have her purse and that has to be a start, right? Or not.
On the other hand, there is a priest passed out in the bathtub and an alcoholic parrot squawking about a chapel of love…
Which might explain the ring on Berto Cortez’s finger. How did a night of rock ’n’ roll debauchery result in him turning sexy washboard player Katie Lambert into a vampire and then marrying her? He wouldn’t. He couldn’t. But he can’t quite remember, exactly. Which means these four friends turned amnesiac couples have only one choice: hit the famed Bourbon Street for some answers…

Francesca
My supernatural obsession began reading Anne Rice novels in my teenage years. I love romance but my favorite will always be a paranormal romance with strong world building. And if there’s a feline shifter in there, even better!

Suzanne
If there’s magic or alien abductions involved I want to know all about it! I’ve always loved any book with a hint of magic or the supernatural, add in some romance and you have a very happy reader on your hands.

Stephanie
Growing up, I was enamored with the magical worlds of C.S. Lewis and Roald Dahl; when I hit my teen years, I just knew I was destined to be swept off my feet by the Silvan Elves of Mirkwood. While I wait for my elf in shining armor, I’ll settle with getting lost in the pages of any PNR, Fantasy, and Sci-Fi book I can get my hands (or ears) on!
